It's unwanted. It's unnecessary. And it's unwelcomed.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for areas north of Highway 20 for several inches of accumulating snow expected on Saturday.

According to our friend Rebecca Kopleman from CBS2, old man winter makes a comeback with a quick moving storm arriving on Saturday. It looks to begin as rain on early Saturday morning. We could get a full inch of rain especially north of I-80. Temperatures will be all over the place, with ranges in the 30's in the north and 50's in the south.

In Cedar Rapids we can look for a wintry mix north of Highway 30. That will change to just snow north of Highway 20 where some heavy accumulation is possible: up to 3-6" of the white stuff. So Decorah and Dubuque, you could get socked.

There will also be strong winds blowing up to 30-40 mph. The combination of wet snow and strong winds could lead to downed trees or power lines that could cause power outages.

And no one is happy about this...except maybe the snow plow drivers, who may get one last payday out of scraping the stuff one last time this season.

At least we hope its the last time this season....
