Charming Wisconsin Village Named One of America’s Best Small Towns

Are you looking to get away? As in a vacation or even just a move altogether?

If you live in Illinois or Wisconsin, this is the most obvious choice because it just got named one of America's best small towns for 2023 by Travel & Leisure.

On a list that includes many towns on both coasts, there isn't much representation from the Midwest on this list.

Maybe Travel & Leisure doesn't make it out our way very often, or they don't like this part of America because they only mentioned one Midwest city out of the 16 they profiled as one of the best.

The truth is, I've never been to this place either, so maybe it's my fault a bit too. Either way, one of the best American small towns for 2023 is the charming village of Kohler.

Yep, that Kohler. Plumbing product maker Kohler. There's a lot more than just bathroom stuff in this small town.

Travel & Leisure:

Kohler, Wisconsin, is one of the best small towns in the Midwest, with championship golf courses and a spa. . It's also home to a AAA five-diamond restaurant, The American Club, at Destination Kohler, ranked among the best resort hotels in the Midwest by Travel + Leisure readers.

For us in Rockford, a trip to Kohler is about a 2 hour 20 minute car ride so not too terrible.

Sounds like a great place for a quick trip and this time of year maybe even a trek for a long holiday weekend.
