CR is One of the Best Cities to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
Cedar Rapids was just named one of the top ten cities in America to celebrate St. Patrick's Day... again!
When it comes to St. Patrick's Day, people here in Eastern Iowa sure know how to party! WalletHub published its annual list of the 'Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations,' and Cedar Rapids was ranked number ten for the second year in a row!
Out of the 200 U.S. cities that were examined, Cedar Rapids was 9th in the overall category of 'Safety & Accessibility,' 31st for 'St. Patrick's Day Traditions,' and 48th for 'Costs.' We came in at number 57 for 'St. Patrick's Day Weather,' but unpredictable Midwest weather has never stopped us from having a good time! Cedar Rapids was also 4th in the country for "Highest % of Irish Population."
