According to KWWL, "No one is hurt after an early Sunday morning fire in Cedar Rapids."

The incident happened on Sunday, March 1st around 3:20 a.m. The address of the fire was near the 500 block of 16th Street on the Northeast side of town.

Officials say the person in the home saw smoke coming from the basement of the domicile. When firefighters arrived, they extinguished a blaze in the basement as well as the first floor.

The fire was put out and there were no injuries. Officials have started an investigation and we will continue to follow this story.
