How Many People In Iowa Got the COVID Vaccine?
The past year has been rough for many of us. COVID-19 threw all of us for one heck of a loop. I haven't seen many of my good friends in well over a year. That's why when I found out the vaccine was available, I jumped at the chance to get it.
The rollout itself felt like a full year.
I was not the only person in Iowa to eagerly jump on the train. A recent report found that about half of adults in the state of Iowa have completed the entire vaccination process. This means that half of the adult population have gotten their two COVID-19 shots. Now, the amount of Iowa residents who have gotten a COVID vaccine completely surpasses the numbers for flu season shots, according to Radio Iowa.
Almost 90,000 people in Iowa got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine before distribution was put on pause, officials say. While it has been put on pause for us in the United States, Europe has started back up with the J&J vaccine distribution.
