With the coronavirus pandemic taking over basically everything, we've sure had our share of time at home this year.

Normally we'd be going out, traveling, you know... doing normal things. But, instead here we are spending most of our time at home, working and watching Netflix. Our vacations were turned into staycations, as we've attempted to entertain ourselves during quarantine. Staycations aren't so bad if you live someplace like Florida and have the beautiful sea to stare at. Other places can be little more boring.

WalletHub did some research to find '2020's Best & Worst Cities For Staycations'. They compared 180 cities and looked at things like "parks per capita, the average home square footage, and the idealness of summer weather." I hate to break it to you, but Iowa was on the worst half of this list.

As you can see from the graphic, Cedar Rapids came in at No. 101 on the list. Yeah, that's on the bad half. Also, for the 'Rest & Relaxation' category we ranked No. 171...yikes. In better news, we did take the 39th spot for recreation, that's pretty darn good (must be all that bike riding we do). Des Moines beat us out overall, ranking No. 87. We're not too mad about that though. It is the state's capitol after all. The best place for a staycation according to this list is Plano, Texas (not really sure why), and the worst was Pearl City, Hawaii....what!? How does a place like Hawaii come in last? It's beautiful! Although it is pretty expensive.

After reviewing this data, it appears that Iowa is not the most exciting place to have a staycation, but it's also not the worst. That's what we get for being in the MIDwest I guess. No matter how low we ranked on this list, we still love our Hawkeye state.
