A recent study looked at the 50 drunkest counties in America. Iowa is home to 6 of the drunkest counties in all of the USA. Today we will be looking at all 6 of those spots in Iowa while also checking out the other counties in other states.

It looks like the upper Midwest is taking home the gold when it comes to the drunkest counties in the US. You can see more about that here. All 50 of the drunkest counties in the US are in the upper Midwest.

How They Got The Numbers

This study found the 50 drunkest counties in the U.S out of 3,106 counties using data from the 2021 County Health Rankings and Roadmap report. Wow out of that many counties I can't believe Iowa and Wisconsin make up over 75% of the drunkest numbers.

In every county on the list, more than one in four adults drinks excessively. Nationwide, fewer than one in five adults drinks excessively.
