Summer may not be a total bummer, after all. Live music is back, and the social distancing plans are in place.

Still jamming after a half-century, the Beach Boys are bringing the Good Vibrations to stages from Aruba, to Jamaica, to the McGrath Amphitheare in Cedar Rapids this summer, on Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m. According to a press release from VenuWorks, tickets start at $45 plus applicable fees and go on-sale this Friday, July 24th at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com or at the U.S. Cellular Center ticket office.

As you may have heard, VenuWorks just released its "Return to Live" plan to safely bring a concert like this to fruition. The Beach Boys show will follow it to the letter. "All guests will be expected to follow new health and safety guidelines including wearing face coverings when not at a person’s designated seat, maintaining distance between groups and staying home if sick or if a person has had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19."

It's time to "Get Around" to enjoy one of the best parts of normal life again, with safety and social distancing in mind.

Don't forget about the recently-announced "Live at the 5" series, recapturing the history of a classic venue, the Five Seasons Center and featuring weekly shows from local bands at the U.S. Cellular Center in the limited-seating "Club 5" setup. That starts with Toxic Blonde on July 30, and you can learn more about it here.
