Kernels To Host Youth Home Run Derby This Sunday

We hope you'll join 104.5 KDAT this Sunday, May 5th for another "Kids Eat Free Sunday" with the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Veteran's Memorial Stadium. Kids 12 and under eat free with a voucher for a hot dog, popcorn and drink from the concession stand.

As a special bonus this weekend, kids can join the Chuck Fulton Youth Home Run Derby! Imagine taking a swing on the same field as your favorite Kernels players. That's what the event is all about. It's free to enter with 4 age divisions.

Kids 12 and under can register for the home run derby in advance or immediately prior to the event in person at the stadium. To get the registration form and learn more, visit their website.

Run the Bases Sunday from Prairie Farms will NOT be part of the festivities this Sunday, although fans will still to be able to play catch and get autographs from the players.
