From a young age, just about every dude out there looks at Ferrari and knows that's a car that they want in their garage. The only thing standing in the way is the $600,000 price tag on the "good one."

One man in Salt Lake City, Utah lived the dream of many when he drove a Ferrari for a few minutes - only he didn't do it the legal way.

Police say 29-year-old Micael Martinez was arrested Sunday night for three counts of property damage, theft, and burglary.

According to the affidavit from the incident, Micael Martinez broke into the Ferrari of Salt Lake City by using a rock to break the building's exterior glass.

He opened a car door and found the keys to it in the center console, and did what anybody would do. Start the thing up and try to drive it. Police didn't specify the car that Martinez got in, but they do say it was worth an estimated $600,000.

On Ferrari of Salt Lake City's website, only one model in stock is in the $600,000 range - a 2021 SF90 Stradale.

Martinez started the car and "hit the interior glass, four other vehicles, and exterior doors on his way out with the vehicle," according to the affidavit.

Police estimated damages to the other vehicles and building to be costly, upwards of roughly $100,000.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers found Martinez walking away from the vehicle near I-215 and the State Street exit. When take into custody, Martinez allegedly "stated that this was a spur-of-the-moment act after he was drinking all day."
