Mt. Vernon Lights Up With Love for Marsha Light [PHOTOS]
Wow!!
We couldn't have imagined how much this story of a community coming together for the love of one of their own could have moved us.
Marsha Light is a beloved Mt. Vernon community member, diagnosed with breast cancer who may not make it to see Christmas (her favorite holiday) this year. To make sure she could, Mt. Vernon decked the halls a little early. They spent this past Sunday, October 7 putting up their "Lights for The Lights", a day of celebration for Marsha and her family.
Our heart strings were tugged, as we set aside a one day only block of two hours on Sunday to play Christmas music for Marsha and the town. We hope it filled their hearts as much as it did ours. We're feeling and seeing the love the community has for Marsha and her family in the response we have received.
Thanks to Kelli Weeter-Chapman for providing some spectacular photos of this festive celebration of love.
There were carolers:

Even "snow"!
What the town looked like after dark was nothing short of breathtaking.
All of this for a special friend, wife, mother and neighbor to share. We are amazed by the spirit of this community, blessed to have been part of it, and send our love to the Light family, as well as their friends and neighbors in Mt. Vernon.
Merry Christmas!
