A family event that always draws a large crowd of people vying to win prizes, all while spending quality time together, is right around the corner.

We're proud to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Corridor and their 19th Annual Fish-O-Rama. This year, the event is back in person, after a virtual event last year. However, you can still do the event off-site this year, if you'd like. More on that in just a minute.

The annual event is held Saturday and Sunday, August 7 and 8, at Robbins Lake at Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids. The lake is located just off Edgewood Road and Ellis. There's more than $75,000 in prizes this year. Registration for the event is open now and there are a variety of options.

I mentioned the off-site opportunity. I'll start with that. They call it the "Fish Anywhere Option", which gives you the chance to fish virtually with friends from a fishing spot of your choice. More on that is available HERE.

There are three on-site choices for Robbins Lake. A "Basic", "Bonus", or "Big Cat Registration". You can find out more about all three options HERE and register HERE.

After registering, you'll be able to pick up your materials at Robbins Lake on Wednesday through Friday, August 4 through 6. On-site registration is also available those three days. Specific times are available HERE.

Get your bait and tackle ready. Boys and Girls Clubs of the Corridor expect more than 1,300 people to take part in this great annual event. Good luck! May the fish find your lures over all the others in the lake.
