We made it. We arrived into San Antonio late, and got to spend the day with family, while getting the A/C fixed.  Obviously, it needed to happen, but not just because we needed it for the trip home, but because I found out we were moving on. The next day we were off to San Antonio.  We had been to Houston before, so I was quite excited to see something new, and was really excited to get to San Antonio.  I've wanted to go there for a while now.  We came down here to see family, who used to live in San Antonio, and now live in Houston.  However, I was never able to get down there when they lived in SA.  I was excited.

There was so much to see and do in San Antonio.  The hard part was figuring out what the most important things were. We knew the Alamo and river walk was a must, we just needed to figure out the best deal for a trolley or double decker bus based on what we wanted to see.  As it turns out, that really didn't matter anyway, as we never had time for that kind of tour.  Maybe next trip.

We did get to the Alamo, strolled along the river walk (which was beautiful), took a river walk boat, and ended up visiting an area called "La Villita". It looked pretty, but also deserted and maybe renovated to an amazing level, then never truly utilized. Not sure. It was a disappointment though. Wish we had more time to see the Missions, and to go up in the Tower of the Americas. Again, next time.

Tomorrow, a drive through safari park trip is planned.  That should be fun.
