After a failed day one, day two saw a whole bunch more stops, but was a whole lot hotter as we got further south without A/C.  We did get to see some pretty cool stuff though. I think the best part about this trip so far is that we did not have a DVD player, which now a days is almost unheard of when traveling with kids.  However, my two have been absolutely loving their activity binders my wife put together.  We've also been enjoying some audio books.  That combined with the stops have really made this trip rather painless.

Painless that is except when you're stuck in Dallas traffic watching time tick away when you're trying to get somewhere, and there's no airflow in a hot car without A/C.  Yes, there were some very tense overheated moments today, more from my wife and I than the kids.  We DID get to stop for ice cream though.

We started the day making up on all the stuff we missed in Tulsa last night, then it was off to Dallas to the "6th Floor Museum" to learn more about JFK's assassination.  Thanks to the above mentioned rush-hour traffic/construction situation, wouldn't you know we missed it.  Guess well catch it on the return.  All in all, it was an interesting day, as we finally pulled into Houston around midnight.

Must say I'm not 100% pleased with the Roadtripper app though.  It doesn't have it's own navigate feature, and there's plenty of mislabeled addresses, so we lost a lot of time just trying to find places.  While it's good for helping plan a trip and giving you ideas for places to stop, make sure you have another device ready to input the info into to make travel smoother.
