The 24th Annual KHAK Radiothon Returns to Iowa City This Week

It's one of the most important times of the year for the K-Hawk crew--the annual KHAK Radiothon for the Children's Miracle Network. Another year of raising money for kids right here in eastern Iowa kicks off this week.

Every year 98.1 KHAK broadcasts live from Iowa City to host the annual KHAK radiothon for the Children's Miracle Network. During the two-day event, which began back in 1997, you'll hear stories from local families and be able to donate to help impact even more families in the area. Over the past 25 years, KHAK has raised over $3.1 million for CMN and local families right here in Iowa.

This year's event will take place this Thursday and Friday (August 12-13) and be hosted by KHAK crew members Bob James & Courtlin. The duo will interview kids and their families that have been treated at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. You'll hear touching, sometimes heartbreaking stories, and learn about the top-notch care that the hospital provides during the course of two days. During the radiothon, you'll have the opportunity to call in or go online to donate to this amazing cause and help save children's lives.
