Despite last night's huge storms, the Linn County Fair plans to continue their normal schedule of activities.

If you somehow didn't notice, Eastern Iowa saw some very severe weather last night, especially up near the Central City and Prairieburg areas. There was heavy rain, hail, thunder, lightning, and even a tornado touchdown. It was terrible timing for the Linn County Fair, which just kicked off yesterday.

The good news is, nobody who attended last night's event was injured. Fair-goers were asked to take shelter, so the only damage done was to some trees and tents. The weather forecast for today and tonight calls for more storms, but things will clear up for tomorrow, with only a slight chance for some light showers.

According to the Linn County Fair Facebook page, all events will go on as planned today (some in different locations), with Youth Day activities kicking off at 7 a.m.

You can find updates on the Linn County Fair website and Facebook page.
