It's always a good time for pie!

Saturday was March 14th, also known as "National Pi Day" (the first digits of pi are 3.14). Instead of celebrating with math and equations, we celebrate with something much more delicious... pie! In honor of Saturday's holiday, Google shared some data involving the most uniquely searched pies in every state. The most popular pie flavor overall was a bit of a surprise: strawberry rhubarb.

Strawberry rhubarb was the winner for the state Iowa, as well as other Midwest states like Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. We hear Kathy's Pies in Cedar Rapids makes a GREAT one! The most-searched pie in Illinois and Nebraska was French silk and in Missouri it was blackberry.

I'm from Michigan, where the most searched pie was Dutch apple. I've heard of that one before, but I never tried anything with rhubarb until I moved to Iowa about five years ago. Actually, there are a lot of pies on this list that I've never even heard of. Candy cane pie, sour orange pie, and crab pie are just a few of the strange ones.
