Today, December 3, 2019, marks "Giving Tuesday". It is known as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3, 2019, and every day."

Created in 2012, "Giving Tuesday" is a day that encourages people to "do good, give, collaborate and celebrate generously".

Statistics say that 95 percent of us have donated our time or money to charity in the past. That's great news! Charities that help children, women, the environment and animals are the biggest recipients.

You'll see places like Fundly, Classy, and GoFundMe all over the place on Facebook, and 19 percent of people give to causes they've seen on social media, while more of us learn of ways to donate through people we know.

It can be anything from giving directions, donating food or used clothes, helping fund free meals for local heroes to name a few, but there's always someone who will benefit from your help, on Giving Tuesday or otherwise.
