It's times like these that when communities come together to help each other out, every little bit counts and we all notice.

According to KWWL, the Downtown Waterloo Rotary Club has donated $9,000 to local Cedar Valley non-profit organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Small businesses and non-profits have been hit hard during this pandemic. Non-profits have been unable to get volunteers, have fundraisers and receive extra funds due to social distancing measures and honestly money is a little tight for people these days.

The donations from the Downtown Waterloo Rotary Club has gone to multiple Cedar Valley non-profit organizations. The organizations include the Northeast Iowa Foodbank, the Boys and Girls club of the Cedar Valley, Salvation Army, People's community Health Clinic, Allen/MercyOne Foundations and Foster Graduate Gifts. Each of these organizations have received $1,000 in donations. The Downtown Waterloo Rotary Club plan to give out two more $1,000 gifts this month.
