Pollstar Magazine has put out a list of the top worldwide entertainment venues. Iowa's highest-ranked venue on the list, at #60, is Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The rankings of the Top 200 sports and entertainment venues were based on ticket sales for live touring performances and sporting events from November 22, 2018, to November 20, 2019. Chris Connolly is from Spectra Entertainment, the managing company for both Wells Fargo Arena and Iowa Events Center and said in a press release, "2019 was a good year for touring acts and concerts at Wells Fargo Arena".

Concerts featuring up-and-coming artists like Luke Combs, Shawn Mendes, Thomas Rhett, and Twenty One Pilots, along with repeat performers like Kenny Chesney, the Dave Matthews Band, Carrie Underwood, and Kiss helped cement the Wells Fargo Arena's spot in the rankings.

The 2020 lineup already featuring Michael Buble, Cher, Elton John, and others looks to help continue the arena's success.

Wells Fargo Arena placed 8th among venues in our bordering states, including the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Target Center in Minneapolis and Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.
