Recently, I wrote about a survey that asked when the average American kicked off their Christmas season, with all the festivities and celebrations that go with it.

That survey determined that the day I am writing this, December 1st was the day most folks consider the "Christmas season" to start. Get past Thanksgiving first. One holiday at a time most people say. Others weren't so patient. Next was a November start to the season. Others said later in December, with a few even waiting until the week of Christmas or not at all.

But what did Eastern Iowans say? We took to Facebook to find out.

One response indicated an even earlier start to the season. Way early

If you haven't gotten your response in, tell us what you think: when does "the Christmas season" start for you. Would we be presumptuous of us to think it should have been official the day we started Christmas music?
