The Cedar Valley Humane Society is an Eastern Iowa non-profit organization who, for decades, has taken care of the health, welfare and protection of animals in our community. They are "dedicated to building healthy relationships between people and animals, and eliminating cruelty, abuse and overpopulation of animals through education, adoption services and inspiring compassion for all living things".

Their operation relies heavily on support and donations from individuals and businesses as well as fundraisers like the one they have coming up this Spring. On Saturday, March 30, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Eastbank Venue and Lounge (the bottom floor of the old Smulekoff's building in downtown Cedar Rapids) CVHS will hold "Whine & Wags". It is their largest annual fundraiser and we are proud to put our support behind it. It will feature their signature silent auction (including a pair of concert tickets we've donated for bid), dinner, wine tasting, photo booth, music, games and the guests of honor--local animals  who need homes.

You may call the Cedar Valley Humane Society for information or to make a general or silent auction donation at (319) 362-6288.
