Desperate times call for desperate measures, and with hair salons being shut down during the stay-at-home order, I had no choice but to cut my husband Josh's hair.

Let me start off by saying I am in NO WAY a professional hairstylist. I'm barely a beginner. But, with salons being shut down and my husband's hair continuing to grow, he asked if I could cut it. I was immediately intimidated by this challenge, but there are no other options. So, I decided to do what most people do when they have no idea how to do something--look up YouTube videos. I spent about an hour "researching" how to cut and fade men's hair.

It's a seemingly simple concept, but there are a lot of ways it can go wrong. Especially, for someone like me who has never done this before and likes to be a perfectionist. "Welcome to Quarantine Cuts, I'm your stylist Danielle! Here goes nothing..."

How did I do? Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Kudos to all of the hairstylists out there. Cutting hair can be a tough job, with a ton of pressure to get it right. I'm sure I probably did a lot of things wrong, but it was my first time. If you're an actual stylist and have any tips for me, let me know.
