Go the Distance For Crime Victims 5K Run/Walk This Weekend in Marion
104-5 KDAT is proud to partner with local law enforcement organizations for the 11th Annual Go The Distance for Crime Victims 5K Run/Walk event on Saturday, April 1 in Marion. The event is held in conjunction with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 2-8.
The proceeds from the run/walk will aid many different types of victims including families of homicide/vehicular homicide victims, domestic violence victims, victims of sexual assault and many other crime victims.
Online registration has ended but you can still register in person on Friday, March 31 from 4-6 p.m. during Bag Pickup at the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 505 1st St. SW in Cedar Rapids.
Race day registration on Saturday, April 1 begins at 7 a.m. at Thomas Park in Marion on the corner of Highway 151 and Blairs Ferry Road.
The run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Thomas Park with an awards ceremony to follow.
