Stephanie has a few reminders about upcoming events at the Cedar Valley Humane Society:

Volunteering with the CVHS is an excellent way to make a positive difference for homeless animals.

Becoming a volunteer is easy! The first step is to fill out our volunteer application. If you are unable to fill out the application online, please contact Stephanie Schmitz at Stephanie.schmitz@cvhumane.org or (319)362-6288. Next, you attend a volunteer orientation where you will learn more about the Cedar Valley Humane Society, our mission, programs and how you can help.

To pre-register, e-mail Stephanie.schmitz@cvhumane.org. Please turn in your application and pre-register at least three days in advance so we know how many information packets to bring. The volunteer orientation will be in the conference room at the HyVee located on Oakland Road in Cedar Rapids.

The CVHS will be hosting a fundraiser in which businesses can participate in Jeans Day. The businesses may choose how much they would like to donate per participant. Each employee that wears jeans will donate that amount to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
