Politics, pandemic/quarantine and storm cleanup have seemed to be all we've got going on in our lives this year. As a famous '80s TV theme song once asked, "wouldn't you like to get away?' We can't promise to end all that in one most excellent weekend, and we have to wait until January 8 for more "Cobra Kai", possibly even longer for "Stranger Things". But we can promise a weekend of musical nostalgia that'll distract you for just a little while.

The "80s Feel-Good Weekend" returns on 104-5 KDAT. Starting this Friday at 5 p.m., we'll be playing feel-good hits, from the days of Rubik's Cubes and Member's Only Jackets, leg warmers and British Knights (those were the hot footwear back when I was a pre-teen in the late '80s). Memories and nostalgia will roll continuously through the weekend.

So get ready to bounce around on your Pogo Ball, (bundle up because it may be a little cold this weekend) or strap on some skates and stroll around recreating your own version of a viral video that's all the rage right now involving '80s legend Stevie Nicks.

Whatever you're doing, take us with you on your smartphone with the free mobile app. Download it and listen to the '80s jams all weekend. Keep it at the top of your mind Monday for the start of the final week of the "Workday Payday", where you'll listen every hour between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a code word to enter on the app for a chance at up to $10,000.

It's going to be bodacious!
