When you go to the downtown Cedar Rapids Farmers' Market this Saturday, be ready to encounter a slight change in the "route" due to ongoing flood wall construction.

This change will hopefully be the last one made through the end of the market season on September 17. According to Iowa's News Now: the venue will now be from 2nd Avenue SE to 4th Avenue SE and 3rd Street SE to 5th Street SE. Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance event planner Maddix Stovie explains how it will also hopefully be a more convenient setup for patrons:

Similar to last season’s layout, the updated venue creates a loop. Last season we received great feedback from our vendors and market goers on the loop. We are looking forward to continuing this route for the remainder of the season, unless notified otherwise.

Stovie says many aspects of the Downtown Cedar Rapids Farmers' Market will remain the same. The long list of market vendors can be found here.

  • July 2nd
