I don't think I've ever seen a survey that's been more WRONG.

The website Bid-On-Equipment recently analyzed Google search results to figure out the most "popular" Super Bowl food in each state. Some of the most popular answers include Buffalo chicken dip, cocktail weenies, and seven-layer dip, but Iowa's answer is much more unusual. According to this particular study, our favorite Super Bowl food is... Irish stew?

Wikipedia says that "Irish stew is a Lamb and root vegetable stew native to Ireland. As in all traditional folk dishes, the exact recipe is not consistent from time to time, or place to place. Basic ingredients include lamb, or mutton, as well as potatoes, onions, and parsley. It may sometimes also include carrots. Irish Stew is not made with beef."

Don't get me wrong, I love a good stew... but at a Super Bowl party? Really? Are people seriously choosing to serve stew over pizza, wings, and nachos? I don't believe it. I've been to exactly one party in my life where stew was served, and it was beer stew, not Irish. It was really good, though.

As far as other Midwest states go, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Nebraska all chose cocktail weenies, South Dakota went with cocktail meatballs, Missouri loves potato skins, and Illinois picked seven-layer dip.
