Freedom Festival Announces 2023 Button Design Contest

At the heart of the annual Cedar Rapids, Freedom Festival is the commemorative button. It means not only access to many of the great events they put on but often becomes a keepsake afterward. It certainly becomes a huge marketing reminder to everyone across the community. Festival organizers have announced that it could be your design displayed on the button next year.

According to KCRG,

Now through December 4th, 2022, the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival will be accepting submissions for its annual Button Design Contest.

2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival, which runs from June 14th through July 4th  and will take a look at its "past, present, and future".

Designs can be submitted via email to Marketing@freedomfestival.com or can be mailed to the Freedom Festival office at:

• 609 First Ave SW
• Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52405

A few criteria to keep in mind while creating your design:

• Maximum three colors, not including background
• The date of the celebration must be on the button (June 14-July 4, 2023)
• The wording "Freedom Festival" must be included
• The words "presenting sponsor Hy-Vee" or their logo must be included

The winning design will be announced at the beginning of January, with the winning designer receiving artwork recognition, a “VIP Experience” to select Freedom festival events, honored as a Grand Marshall in the 2023 Freedom Festival Parade, and a Festival Prize pack of buttons and t-shirts.
