This Saturday, November 9 at the U.S. Cellular Center, it's the "Hometown Heroes" concert, featuring Bret Michaels, Night Ranger, Lita Ford and Joe Nichols. Tickets are still available, check here for details.

Bret's using this opportunity to honor all the police and fire personnel, first responders, doctors, nurses, EMTs, veteran and military personnel, even teachers or any other everyday difference-maker. He asked for our help finding these folks in our community and we have.

Our final hometown hero of the week is Megan Wichmann.  She is a volunteer and a career firefighter. She also volunteers for the St. Florian Burn Foundation.

Thank you to Brad Keitel for the nomination and the special message about a very special hero who "gives all of her free time back to the community". We've had a great week telling the stories of local community heroes who will be seeing the concert for free Saturday night, along with earning special onstage recognition, meet and greets with Bret Michaels, and other special prizes from 104-5 KDAT.

Enjoy the show!
