Introducing KDAT’s Latest “Top Teacher”

Each month of the school year here on 104-5 KDAT, we proudly salute a new "Top Teacher", who inspires and makes a difference at their school and in their community. We then send the winner a $25 Half-Price Books gift card, movie passes to Collins Road Theater in Cedar Rapids, and a whole lot of recognition on the air and (as you're now reading) online. This month, we proudly recognize Rachel Petersen of Kate Wickham Elementary School in Coralville. She was nominated by Annie Beery, who said:

Rachel is an amazing teacher. She works with kids with developmental/learning delays and her abounding patience never slips. She is truly a light in the lives of anyone who knows her and I know she's making the world a better place with every child she teaches.
