KDAT Announces Our Top Teacher

"Mrs. Porter always goes above and beyond the usual. She helps the children both at school and at home. She is always available to help or just to talk. She makes our entire family part of her family. I wish I could take her onto kindergarten with my child."

Those words describe our latest KDAT "Top Teacher", Doris Porter of Sacred Heart prekindergarten in Monticello. She was selected this month as our winner of a $25 Half Price Books gift card and Collins Road movie theater passes.

Every first Friday of the month for the rest of the school year, KDAT will select a new teacher to receive recognition and a special treat for their thankless work for kids in the community.
